New Light : This volunteer and transplantee declares “I am Bubbly”

This woman is an energizer bunny! She’s a volunteer at a hospital and her specialty is helping patients who are having transplants … before and after. When asked how she shines, she says “I’m bubbly.” I ask why and she says, “I have to be.”  She is a transplantee herself (“9 years, 7 months and 8 days” she reports) and she knows that attitude is everything.

She shines by being an energetic light and comfort to those who are going through huge medical difficulties. I asked her what having her transplant gave back to her. She said “I got to see my grandchildren born, and then a great-grandchild.” With her eyes lit up and a big smile across her face, that was all she had to say.
